Bio

He graduated with honors in piano at the Conservatorio “D. Cimarosa “of Avellino with Eugenio Fels and obtained the bachelor’s degree in conducting, at the conservatory” L. Marenzio “of Brescia, under the guidance of maestro Gilberto Serembe. He also obtained the master degree in conductign with honors under the guidance of Pietro Veneri at the conservatory “A. Boito ” of Parma.

He also qualified for teaching obtaining two master’s degree: first in “music education” in Avellino, and in “instrumental music teaching” with the highest marks and honors in Brescia.

He began his piano perfection with Aldo Ciccolini. In 2009 he attended, as effective student, the Chigiana Music Academy of Siena under the guidance of Joaquín Achúcarro. He also attended master classes with Cyprien Katsaris, Daniel Rivera and Konstantin Bogino.

His experience includes performances both soloist then in chamber ensemble: during the festival “Maggio dei monumenti” at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples; on the occasion of the review “Meetings on the stage” by ESTA Association at the Conservatory of Music “S. Pietro a Majella”in Naples; at the IV Concert Season “Spring Concerts” for the association AGIMUS; during the concert held at Parsifal Hall in Naples, in 2007; at the review “In Canto sul Mare” in Capri; at the Arts Academy and Oratorio Caravita in Rome, Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio (Florence), Castle of Ptuj (Slovenia), Teatro Grande di Brescia etc. He has won several competitions, both national and international: Special Prize at the International Contest of Chamber Music “Teatro dei Dioscuri” at the “Accademia dei Concordi” in Rome; First Prize at the international piano competition of the Chianti (Florence), First Prize at International Competition of Musical performance “Valeria Martina” in Massafra; First Cathegory prize and overall First Prize (among 210 ensemble candidates) at VII Review and VII National Competition for Young Musicians “Città di Paola”; many other important placements at Italian and European Contests.

He has received praiseworthy appreciation from local and national newspapers (Mattino, Il Roma, Il Giornale di Brescia, etc.).

He participated, distinguishing himself with merit, to numerous chamber music masterclasses, among which emerges that held at the Conservatory of Music “D. Cimarosa “of Avellino from the American quartet Apple Hill Quartet.

Regarding conducting, in 2014 and 2015 he was selected as an actual student for the Masterclass of Orchestral Art at the University of Aveiro (Portugal) under the guidance of Maestro Ernst Schelle where he directed the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras. Also in 2015 he attended, as an actual student, master classes held by the Masters Riccardo Frizza and Daniele Agiman where he directed “I musici di Parma”. He also followed master classes with the masters Neil Thomson, Marco Guidarini, Laurent Gay and Wolfgang Doerner.

He was selected for the final stages of several international orchestral conducting competitions and was semifinalist at the World Music Competition in La Villavella (Spain) and in the 9th “Luigi Mancinelli” Competition for Opera Conductors in Orvieto.

He performed at EXPO Milano 2015 during the “Together x Expo” event where he directed the “Fantasy for 11 instruments” by Claudio Bonometti. The concert was recorded by Rai Expo. In 2018 he conducted the Filarmonica “A. Toscanini “within the event “ORER meets young talents “.

In 2016 he won, ranking as the first place in Emilia Romagna, the public competition organized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research for the teaching of the piano in musical lyceum. He currently holds the piano chair at the Liceo Musicale “Lucio Dalla” of Bologna.
